BOOK SIGNING OF LIVING LAUDATO SI'

BY MANNY BAUTISTA

× Manny Bautista, author of the book, “Living Laudato Si’: The Ecological Challenge of Pope Francis” had a Book Signing event during the Ecology Sunday Celebration of the Sto. Niño de Paz-Greenbelt Chapel last October 1, 2017 in Makati City. He cheerfully interacted with the faithful who had just celebrated the mass and signed the books.
This book signing event is very timely since the book can be our guide in understanding better the context of the encyclical of Pope Francis, “Laudato Si’”. It would help us nourish our ecological education and be mindful of the impact of human activities to the environment.
There were different organizations who exhibited their products such as plants, rabbits, organic vegetables, cookies, jam, honey, vinegar, citronella oil and accessories made by the indigenous people, the Lumads. There was also a demonstration on how to make a solar lamp. The blessing of pets was presided by Fr. Rufino C. Sescon, Jr., the Chaplain of the Greenbelt Chapel.
Truly it was a celebration of love for creation that helped build awareness for the care of our common home.
